Candice was born, raised and educated in Butler County, Ohio. Her father started his small business in Butler Co. in 1952 and this set the example for her own children who now own their own businesses and have benefited from all that Butler County offers.
The focus in Candice’s home was on hard work, education and a strong faith in God. These were the values that began her future in public service and inspires her to this day.
A graduate of Miami University, during the past eight (8) years, she has been Executive Director of one of the largest pro-life agencies in Ohio and has created numerous projects and programs for a cause in which she believes strongly. She has administered over a large staff and led the agency through tough cultural changes and uncertain economic climates. She spends a good part of her time building relationships and tending to the material needs that exist within our district.
As the Fiscal Agent of a non-profit agency, she oversees a budget of more than $300,000 annually and understands best practices and ethics by being accountable to donors and state government.

My campaign is about America’s founding principles of individual responsibility, limited government and free market economics. In other words…life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. My campaign will focus on providing the best quality of life for those who live in my District by improving our infrastructure, cutting taxes and making our county a more welcoming place for new businesses to settle and prosper.
Faithful to the self-evident truths enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, I assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed. I support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the 14th amendment protections apply to the unborn.
I support and defend the law-abiding citizen’s God-given right of self-defense. I call for the protection of this fundamental right as recognized by the Supreme Court. Gun ownership is responsible citizenship and enables Americans to defend their homes and communities.
My interests in serving at the state level include a desire to be part of the legislature to work alongside others to move things forward in Ohio. Government is always so divided and it is time to come together on those issues which are of common interest to us all – educational reform that is affordable and would benefit all citizens; job creation by examining overly pre-emptive regulations; effectively dealing with the onslaught of drug abuse within our county; and attention to agricultural concerns of Ohio’s farmers.
Coming from a farming family, I wish to champion reforms that keep more money in the hands of farmers and give less to crop insurance companies. I want to help create more economic opportunity in rural Ohio by encouraging rural businesses who are expanding into the clean energy sector. One in 7 Ohioans are employed in an agricultural related business.
